Color permeates our world, but how often do we stop to think about the historical, emotional, or even subversive power of color? Join artist Abby Bennett on Zoom to explore how different colors came to be, how they affect us and the world around us.

Drawing from the book “The Secret Lives of Color” by Kassia St. Clair, we will focus on a series of colors and learn about their significance. Then we will do a short art activity to experience the power of color firsthand.

Materials needed:
-Colored drawing implements (markers, crayons, colored pencils, etc)
-White paper

No art experience necessary!
